"Growing up in Bangladesh I have witnessed the positive impact of the ready-made garments industry on the country. It has helped financially and thereby socially empower a generation of men and women who would otherwise earn their living through feudal style domestic labor. My grandfather founded one of the first factories in the country, and it is my desire to continue that legacy by helping this industry grow. I support top-performing manufacturers who conduct themselves ethically, support their employees and champion sustainability initiatives. My ultimate goal is to have a net positive effect at the intersection of fashion, ethics, and sustainability."
